This summer, as has been the case for more than ten years now, has once again been a summer of journeys across the Atlantic. Trips to share with our colleagues from Bocalán branches and our students—moments of learning and the opportunity to spend several days surrounded by wonderful people, united by a common passion: communication and learning focused on dog training.
Colombia is one of our favorite countries; a beautiful land, surpassed only by the inner and outer beauty of its people.
This trip had two stages. The first in Bogotá, where we taught in the course that Bocalán Colombia organizes at the Universidad de Sanitas. A perfect place for teaching, with a magnificent and innovative AAT project, all the necessary resources, and an excellent group of students, many of them familiar faces. Walking through Bogotá is always a pleasure: returning to La Candelaria, to the Chorro de Quevedo where the city was founded in 1538, the Zona Rosa full of restaurants, and so many other wonderful places to visit.
The journey then continued to Medellín, right in the middle of the Feria de las Flores. Although our purpose there was to work with dogs, we still managed to sneak out one or two nights to enjoy Medellín’s nightlife at the city’s liveliest moment. In Medellín, we worked in Rionegro, where Bocalán’s Colombian headquarters are located, with a large group of students and high-level dogs, always supported by the two people responsible for the success of Latimos Bocalán Colombia: Sara Beutha and Jairo Aristizábal.
Sharing dinners and projects with them once again is one of the most enriching experiences in the world.
Together we developed a large part of the International Diploma in AAT, which will be launched this November.
Once again, Colombia stands out as one of the key countries in our international expansion.
